YEC is possessed of a modernized laboratory built with a total investment of about 3,200,000 RMB, covering a space of about 100m2. It is equipped with a number of modern testing and analyzing instruments, including the colorimeter manufactured by HunterLab Company of the USA, the softening point meter manufactured by Mettler Company of Switzerland, the 470 Infrared Spectrometer manufactured by Nicolet Company of the USA, the viscometer manufactured by Brookfield Company of the USA, the brand new Model 6890 Gas-phase Chromatograph with cooler manufactured by AGILENT, etc. The analyzing methods used by the laboratory comply with the ASTM standard and Eastman Company standard, to ensure good quality control from raw materials up to the end-products.

    The main tasks of the laboratory is the quality analysis of raw and auxiliary materials, control analysis during the course of production, and quality analysis for the end resin products. It has an intermediate control analysis room and a finished product quality analysis room.
